Drinking water hose quick connects

Has anyone installed quick connectors to their drinking water hose and inlet?

If so, any recommendations?

Be careful. Our friends came back to the trailer to find water leaking from the compartment and things in the basement soaked. The campground water pressure blew a connection. They're back to using threading fittings.

I use the disconnects on the supply side of the hose (at the hose bib/source). I use the normal attachments on the camper.

Actually on my rig for the black and city connections I leave the angled bronze adapters in place so as not to ruin the plastic thread that Jayco gives us. The wear and tear for my coach connect is on the bronze adapters, not the coach.

I had a lot of money invested in brass QC's. I spent to much of my camping time stopping drips.

Scrapped them years ago and never miss them at all.

Like Jopop I have 90 deg fittings on the fresh and black flush inlets. I use brass quick connects on all hose connections except the CG bib. Over 5-ish years of use I’ve had a couple start to drip, when that happens I replace the offender with a new one from my “spares” box. I use a total of 6 QC’s for fresh, black flush and Sewer Solution lines plus the pressure reg and a couple of “Y’s”. Makes the setup quicker and easier.

I must be awfully lucky, always bought the high quality and used them for many years and never had any leaks. As to them blowing off due to high pressure, always use a regulator. I made an 18" piece of hose connected to the angle adapter and put the quick connect on it and left it connected to the rigs.

Over 9 years full time I finally settled the quick disconnect issues. Don't ever buy the cheapies. I use only Parker Hannifin 1163-60 and 1163-61. Pricey Yes! But they work great and never leak. Probably too pricey for weekend use only, but for full time they are worth every penny.

X2. I use the threaded connection on the hose bib and pressure regulator, and on the brass elbow to the Jayco plastic inlet, everything else is qc.

Is there any way to change out the Jayco plastic inlets? I hook up my hose directly to that and it will leak and the threads don't always keep the hose attached. I even put some plumbers tape on the hose prior to installing the hose. That helped a little.... But the threads just don't always hold the hose on correctly. The same goes with the black water flush connection.
