I just bought a 2024 Northpoint 382 FLRB for my seasonal site. I hooked up the water, but the electric water heater doesn’t seem to be working. The gas heated the water up fast. Does the electric take a long time? I hear a click when I turn it on from the control pad, but when I check the tank outside, it doesn’t seem hot at all. Any one else have this problem?

It’s connected to 50amp, all electric appliances and tvs work. There is no on off switch in the heater box outside or inside, and the circuit breaker is not tripped. It’s a brand new 5th wheel.

If you still can't get it to work, I would disconnect the heating element and check it for continuity, many times they get damaged if ever turned on when there isn't any water in the water heater tank. Sometimes they fail even if there is water in the water heater tank. ~CA

If you don't have any test tools you can plug something into that socket to see if it is getting power. Could be the built in thermostat isn't working or the heating element is broken.

Did it work when you had the walk through at the dealers or did that get skipped?
