Fan/light combo extention cord

Does anyone know if they make such a thing? I would like my fan/light unit to be able to hang farther towards the end of the bed but the coiled cord that is on the unit doesn't allow this. I am an electrician so I know I could easily add some length but it wouldn't look quite as good.

Could you use an old headphone extension cord?

You can get a headphone extension, the ones with the larger pin. Just take your light/fan to an electronic or music store and if the plug fits it will work.
