Recovery coming tomorrow with track skid steer and fifth wheel hitch attachment. They were already here scoping it out and said should be an easy out.

Fingers crossed for a successful retrieval , Hopefully the 5th wheel does not stand the skid steer on its nose.

RV is back on solid ground. The John Deere skid steer that showed up made a very easy job of the recovery. The lift capacity on it is 9000 lbs so child's play for that machine.

I got the dually and 5th wheel stuck at the Texas RenFest one year. Broke a rope trying to pull it out with my Buddies truck, tried a chain....finally someone showed up with a kinetic energy rope (bungee) and it worked like a charm. Plenty of youtube videos on how they work. Can buy them on Amazon for not too much money, you have to buy the proper weight range. I watched the guy then pull out a few stuck motorhomes with a 4 Runner. I keep one in my truck now.

Sometimes when you talk it out you will end up with something that actually works and so simple in the process that you smack your forehead with a palm splat and say Duh. I bet that this one time event will not be repeated either. The old saying goes something like,, " we will never live long enough to learn everything. So we must learn from others mistakes."
