Hi everybody I have a 2024 Seneca XT 35L Motorhome (F-600 chassis) when trying to put DEF in the tank it wants to kick it back out the fill spout. It appears to me that it is not venting the air out of the tank as it fills.. Is there a one way vent on the 90 degree elbow on the top of the tank that could be blocked.?
It is very frustrating... as the DEF comes out all over the ground and your feet
Please help any ideas..?? Thanks, JR

If you are filling from jug def, get this Motorcraft filler spout. It’s longer and also vented and will stop filling before it overflows because of a built in venting system.

DEF fill issues

I also own a Seneca XT 35L. The first foot or so of the DEF fill tube is virtually flat. I used some long zip ties and was able to lower the area of flexible tube to allow gravity to provide some improvement. I have also used a large funnel with a long flexible tube with pretty good success. Will probable also get the motorcraft fill attachment. Very poor design on the fill tube.

There are a couple of TSB's out on the fuel and DEF fillers. Here are copies of them.

DEF Tank

Thanks for the TSBs! My unit is a 2024, but the issues seem identical. The dealer has had our coach for 3 weeks, so I guess it will be there a little longer to check out the 2 issues addressed in the TSBs.
Really appreciate the input.

I also have a 2024 Seneca XT 35L and have had similar problems when filling DEF. Check out the TSBs provided by Rustnuts below. The TSBs are for 2023 model but I checked my coach and the vent tube is on the side and not on top of the fill tube as it should be. My unit has been at the dealer for 6+ weeks for other issues but went over the issue with them and they are working with Jayco to get approval for the repairs specified in the TSB. Have also had occasional issues when filling diesel so they are also seeking approval to see if the repairs in the second TSB are warranted.

I use one of the battery powered fuel pumps you can get off of Amazon. Stick end down in 2.5 gallon jug and the other end is long enough that you can slip down fill hose to fill. You do have to pay attention as it will overflow when full. The pump is rechargeable and will last a long time. I just throw in compartment near the tank fill.
