We just had our first trip in our new 2015 23MBH. Two stops in 4 nights on the Oregon coast. This is our first TT so we relied heavily on the search feature on this forum. Thanks to all of the past and present forum posters here who helped make our first outing a success. We can't wait to do it again!

We stayed two nights at the Cannon Beach RV Resort, and two at the Astoria KOA. We do most of our vacationing on the Oregon coast but we will try to fit an eastern Oregon trip in this summer. We should be able to get a small trip in every two weeks over the summer.

Congratulations! on a successful maiden voyage! Looks like you were able to fit in all the necessities. Glad you had a great time. Those are interesting-looking chairs. :campfire:

what were you thoughts about the astoria koa? we are planning a trip out there...

It's a very nice KOA but I stay right across the street at Fort Stevens State Park. It has miles of bike trails for both you and the kids and they lead to the beach and or the lake. Ranger events for the kids and one of them is harvesting Razor Clams and the kids can keep up to I think 12 (in season). Lots to do in that part of the country but then again there's lots to do the full length of the coast.Miles of beach.

Stayed at both with tents before. Like the trees in the FT Stevens park better, but the KOA is nice as well. Unfortunately, they are both full for Labor day this year. Planned too late.

Maybe not!!! As you know they have many camping areas or sections and they close off many sections until the open sections are full.
I ran into this last year when we planed out Oregon trip(4)weeks and just on a lark I called a week before Memorial Day weekend and found out they opened up "the next section" so keep trying.

The KOA was fantastic for us. We got to experience the dream of our children, 5 and 7,running off and wearing themselves out with all of the activities while we soaked up some sun and caught up on some reading. Though had we known about razor clams.....mmmm, razor clams.

awesome, thank you for all your feedback on the astoria koa. i cant wait to see our kids run like mad as well :)
