Gotta a fairly creaky floor (wood/OSB creaks) towards the back of the TT. Its gotten worse since new (more area is now creaking). Thinking of taking it in to the dealer for evaluation and hopefully fixing. Wondering how big a deal this is to fix. Anybody had the same issue?

Thanks,

Mike

The floor probably needs to be screwed to the frame in those areas. Go underneath have some one walk around the squeaking area so you can ID it then using short screws go up from the cross member into the floor. this should tighten it down and stop the squeaking

Had a brand new 2009 G2 29RLS with two squeaking spots under the linoleum in the kitchen area. Jayco agreed to pay for having my local dealer repair the squeaks. I had to give permission for the linoleum to be cut along the base of the kitchen cabinets and for the carpet to be freed from the area adjacent to the linoleum. The dealership technician successfully repaired the squeaks BUT he did a terrible job of re-installing the carpet. Where the linoleum had been cut at the base of the kitchen cabinets a trim piece of quarter round was added to cover the cut line.

We were distraught with the poor carpet re-installation PLUS while the trailer was at the dealership the technician left a tall stepladder against the trailer during a severe thunderstorm and it scratched all of the paint off the aluminum siding in a line from the bottom of the trailer to the roof.

We told the dealer we did not want a new trailer that would have had to have all the siding on one side replaced AND we were displeased with the carpet re-install. We asked for and received a 2010 G2 29RLS for an upcharge of $500 due to a factory increase in pricing and a couple of new features (spare tire carrier underneath the trailer, for instance).

Unless the squeak can be repaired from underneath the trailer and/or no carpet removal is involved I would recommend against having your dealer repair the squeaking floor. Not all dealers will be as accommodating as our dealer was. (We had already bought from the dealer and traded in to the dealer a 2006 pop-up and a 2007 RLS, so we were established customers).

If our 2010 trailer develops a squeaking floor we will just live with it!
