Flush Black Tank

On a 2019 Precept 31UV

Does the black hose connector on the utility center allow the owner to send water directly to the balk tank? I don't see or read how to configure the colored valves to flush the balk tank.

I would do this after dumping the black tank.

Just hook a hose to the flush connection (the black one). No need to change any valves. Those are for fresh water only.

Don't use your fresh water hose to flush black tank! There is a chance of reverse contamination, and while small I don't take the chance. I also first use disinfectant wipes on the fresh water hose bib at the campground and both ends of my white hose before I hook anything up.

The black tank flush goes directly to the black tank only. There is no need to change any valves. It is not connected in any way to the drinking/potable water supply. If you can follow the pex line it should go up to an anti syphon valve and then back down to the black tank. In my case the anti syphon valve is situated in the wall behind the shower control.

Just make sure you open the black tank valve when using the tank flush or very bad, smelly things can happen.

So true. A good reason to not get distracted when flushing the black tank or you might end up with a golden shower.
