Fort Wilderness Favorite Loop???????

What you need to do is check out videos of the campground on Youtube, search for Fort Wilderness Loop Videos. The premium have a larger concrete pad than the preferred sites. Our last trip was in 1400 loop which was close to the pool, nightly campfire and movie. Some like to be closer to the boat docks, I don't think you can go wrong with any campsite at the fort. Here is a video of the 1400 loop, https://youtu.be/U1446ebQc_Q

I have looked at those videos. When looking the price from standard to preferred was like $15 more which sucks just to have room to be under the awning and not out behind the camper. And to upgrade from preferred to premium was only $5 more. So I'm thinking if it's worth $15 upgrade why not just spend the extra $5. Thoughts?

I go for the biggest site, nice to have extra room on the side and also for bikes and golf cart. Some want room at the back of the site for a tent or screen room. And it is vacation time so whats a few extra bucks for a larger site.

Most of the preferred sites are actually smaller than many of the full hook-up sites. The reason preferred(100-200-300) cost more is because of location in comparison to 1600-1900 & 2100. You would be better off paying for premium and asking to be in 400-500 or 700.
