fridge fan mod anyone

Maybe I'm lucky, but my refrigerator is bone stock and has been working perfectly, without any mods, for 18 months. Outside air temperature has been in the range of 13F to 95F with humidity from very low to 100%.

My freezer temp is in the single digits except when the cooling unit is defrosting which is every 46 hours per Norcold information. The refrigerator is always in the 30's.

No fan mod needed here.

Ed, I agree, we have no problems keeping things cool and froze. We have had our trailer for 15 months and have lived in it for about 12 months.

Do you guys ever have a problem with the cooling fins icing up? Maybe the Jayflights have a smaller, less efficient frig.

Icing hasn't been a problem. Frost in the freezer has to removed occasionally. Our Montana had a smaller refirgerator and we had icing on the fins.

Depending on the location of the fridge this mod may have been done already at the factory. I do not have a vent on my roof but only a lower and upper access panel with a small fan already installed from the factory. Check your unit and see if you have one already installed. I did the interor muffin fan mod which I think will work better in keeping the unit more even.

I get a lot of frost on occasion, but nothing too bad. I believe it has a defrost cycle if I am not mistaken. I think they all use basically the same model
