Last June we bought a 2017 377RLBH with the residential fridge option. It worked great all last summer! This week they turned the power on at our campground and now it will not cool!!! GRRRR! The fan is on (airflow moving thru fridge) The temps are set at 36 and 0 F.. I can hear the fan but does not sound like compressor is kicking on.. Now what do we do? Contact Frigidaire or our dealer? The 5er is currently set up on a seasonal site, and we do not have a tow vehicle to bring it to dealer. Anyone else have issues and advice?

Thank you

GRRRRRRRR!!!! instead of BRRRRRRRR

Call JAYCO and have them coordinate with FRIGIDAIRE.

I'll call Jayco in the morning.. Thank you. I was on frigidaire site and looks like other people are having issues with this model. Hopefully they do not charge me to have technician come out and look at it.

double grrr!

It is hard to get an appliance dealer to repair a residential refrigerator in an RV. I had 3 different appliance places come out and no one wanted to repair it. Finally one place said IF I pulled it out, they could fix it.
I had to build a platform to roll it out on.....
Just make sure you find an appliance place that can repair it CORRECTLY.
Took me 3 of them to get the right appliance repair place.

On the 377, if the slide is out when you pull the fridge out is the island in the way? My layout is similar but hope it is something I never have to do.

On my Pinnacle the island is in the way. You have to pull refrigerator out some then slide at an angle to get behind it.
It's NOT much fun.....
I only had to pull mine 3 different times.

The repairer Frigidaire sent me to refuses to work on the fridge because I didn't buy it there and they are too busy! This was my main concern over getting residential fridge. Looks like I may end up having to pull fridge out myself.

I assume you took the doors off when you removed it? Did you have to take it out of the camper? Will have to take some measurements tonight when we get to camp. luckily I have a fridge in our outdoor shed and the mini fridge under the awning..

You don't have to take the doors off.....

Call Frigidaire back and tell them to find another appliance dealer.......it's a PITA, but what has to be done to get it repaired.

You may have a totally different problem with yours than I did.

They normally want to check it out first, before removing it to get behind it IF needed.

I called them back and they said there were no other dealers servicing our ZIP code. Now its escalated to a customer service manager and they are supposedly going to arrange to have someone out of my area come repair it. Have to wait another 2-3 business days to hear back from them though.

So aggravating!

In the meantime I called Albany RV (selling dealer) to see if they are going to send someone out to remove it from the slide, although thinking about it I may be better off doing that myself. IDK..

DW contacted Jayco regarding our refer. Jayco referred her to Midwest Sales at 800-772-7262. You will need your model & serial number. Our RV dealer does not work on the residential refers and the 2 year warranty does not cover the refer.

Hey Upstater.
Pull the bottom grill off the fridge and retrieve the folded up wiring diagram that's in the little pouch.
It will tell you how to get into the diagnostic menus and test to see what components aren't working.

I entered diag mode and am able to command on the compressor. Very very low
Hum noise.. evap fan and condenser fan working. I'm thinking it lost its charge.

Have to wait to hear from frigidaire manager

Interestingly enough, I found this in the book.

In addition, this limited warranty does not cover any material, component or part of the RV that is warranted by another entity, including, by way of example, handling, braking, converter, microwave, television, DVD/CD player, radio, speakers, television, refrigerator, range, hot water heater, water pump, stove, carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, propane detector, furnace or any air conditioner. (Note: The written warranty provided by the manufacturer of the component part is the direct responsibility of that manufacturer).

They can say that all they want....But in practice it is only partially true. They can defer to the original equipment manufacturer for the warranty claim if they like. However, Jayco and the dealer are fully responsible for administering the claim. Jayco sold the trailer with equipment THEY selected and installed. They sold a completed unit and the equipment inside that unit are part of it. The manufacturers warranty is between them and Jayco. Ultimately, it is Jayco's responsibility to make certain the unit is repaired. Who pays for it is between them and the manufacturer. In fact, with the TV's, Jayco has been known to offer owners an option if their Furrion goes out: They will give you a $400 allowance to go out and buy your own....Or replace the one you have with the same unit.

The bottom line is this: A good dealer will work directly with Jayco to get you taken care of. If you are being told by your dealer or Jayco that you have to go out and take care of it directly with the manufacturer.....You need to run it up the flagpole some more.....Because that is just not true and Jayco knows that.
