Hi All,
I'm new to the forum, to RVing and to many other things.
Last year my wife and I bought a new pickup and a used 5th wheel.
We did a few test runs to nearby Maumee Bay State Park, Ohio in the autumn.
And this winter we took a two week trip down to Florida.
The upshot: we love RVing. So many advantages to home life;
just to mention a few:
-no need for extensions cords
-all our possessions within reach and reduced to a few cabinets
-toilet flush with foot pedal is extra hygienic
After our 20 day trial run, we decided to put our house on the market this February. We are cleaning the house as I write these lines. (That is, my wife is cleaning while I told her I'm writing an important business letter).
This forum helped us during our 5th-wheel buying decision. Thank you contributors.
I'm planning on making a bunch of improvements to our rig before we hit the road and I might come back with questions. Most of the improvements are about making the trailer fit for cats to live in.
That our animals have a great place is important to me and is part of what I do for a living.
My work is described here http://wild-design.com/ and here http://zooandaquariumdesign.blogspot.com/
Or to save you the time: I do design work for zoos and aquariums, helping to improve the living quarters of animals.
English eez nod my first language. You might sink I'm a poet (or idiot) because of my creative use of it. Except for this paragraph all my errors are unintentional. But I usually get my point across.
iRV2.com was also helpful and I might add some of this text there as well (by announcing that here I might save you the time of reading this text twice if you are lurking around that forum as well). (Plus it will save me the time of writing a "hello" letter twice)
The owner forum is a great thing and my thanks to all that contribute their time and keep it running.
See you on the road or the campground.
Martin
