Front steering stabilizer vs rear tracking bar

Hello! I am new to the forum but, I have been going through the FAQ and other questions & replies. I appreciate the experinece shared here. I just returned from an 1,800 mile road trip with my 2008 Greyhawk 30SS. I now have 7,100 miles on the RV (I bought it with 4,900 miles on it). My shoulders and neck have still not recovered from the journey. Some posts recommended a steering stabilizer and others a rear track bar to stiffen up the constant steering corrections. My former Seattle RV service provider recommended a front end alignment, inspection of the steering wheel and steering box for broken parts, and a front steering stabilizer. I now am storing the RV in Chandler, AZ (my future home). My RV dealer there recommends the rear track bar plus the alignment. Has anyone determined if one of these solutions is better than the other? (front stabilizer vs rear tracking bar)

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum Pringram! I've only recently have seen members on different forums sharing their challenges driving mh's. Sorry you are having problems, but I understand you aren't alone (even amongst other make MH's). While waiting responses here on JOF, try doing a search on steering stablilizer to see what others in the past have done. Let us know what you wind up doing to help others

I have had two motorhomes in the past and did suspension upgrades on them.
Then two toyhaulers and did suspension stuff on them too prior to recently buying a 2007 Jayco Seneca 34SS.
On the test drive, 25 miles on country roads to my storage place to make sure it would fit,
I knew some suspension work was needed.
It was 30 miles back on the hwy and that was not the best handling either.
My upgrades were front Saf-T-Steer stabilizer, front and rear Koni shocks,
Air Lift rear bags with wireless controller and a rear track bar by Roadmaster.
It handles much better now and am looking forward to our next trip.:hihi:

Get the entire front end inspected at a reputable shop.. I would opt for the chassis manufactures shop rather than an RV dealer for this... then if everything checks out ok I would add both the steering stabilizer and trac bar.

I have a Seneca 2008 35TM. Had front Helwig sway bar installed at GM Meduim Duty Shop in Denton Tx- James Wood; drives like a dream.
