Hello all, we are currently in the Zion Bryce Canyon area where nighttime temps drop pretty low. The heat pump isn’t keeping up and I can’t get the furnace to fire. I have trouble shooted every possible issue. Turn it on and I hear the blower come on. I hear the igniter arching, I smell the gas in the burner tube but it won’t ignite. It’s not the mother board or it wouldnt go through the sequencing. Is there something I’m missing? It tries 3 times and goes in to default. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I would google a mobile repair service. We were staying at Rubys RV Park in Bryce and had a problem with our gas heat in our 31UL. We were fortunate to find a guy who was close by and had the furnace repaired the same day. He told us the heat pump in our unit only works at 40 degrees or above. Might also ask the park store you are staying in for someone.

So it never gets a pilot? Just the gas and an arc - correct. When was the last time you used the furnace?

We’ve never used it. Last year we were up in 10,000 foot elevation when I attempted several times to use it to no avail. I had read that high elevations could be a reason not working. Well now we are much lower and still not working.

How many times have you tried to light it? How far is it from the propane tank? I am assuming you have an all electric fridge.
