Hi, I have a 2016 Jayco jayflight 267BHSW. One of the round outside speakers is blown. Would anyone know what size speaker it is and if there are any better speakers that can be used without modifying the holes already there?

Also, can the detachable radio faceplate be easily upgraded?

Thanks so much

I replaced the outside speakers on my 2017 Greyhawk. Don't know if Jayco uses the same speakers on all rigs or not. Anyway, the new speakers went right in without any problem and sound so much better and can handle louder volumes that the cheap originals.

Measure the opening and select a speaker that fits and is waterproof.

Thanks so much. If you would like to find speakers that are water resistant search for "Marine Speakers" they are available in most sizes. They may be more weatherproof the standard automobile speakers.

Check at crutchfield.com for outdoor speakers. I've never been disappointed with their sales or customer service.

I replaced the outside speakers on my last trailer with the Pyle ones in post #2. They were a bit better than the original speakers but the back was a little bit bigger and required the hole to be enlarged.

There are lots of marine speakers but very few are shallow enough to fit. Next time I will find an extender ring that sets the speakers farther out from the wall.

Hi, for the polk speakers did need to use longer screws, or use different connectors? It's difficult fit the existing connectors on the back of the speakers

I believe I used the connectors that came with the speakers, not the factory ones. If I remember correctly, there was a wire nut about 18-24" inside the opening that I was able to undo and replace with the new Polk wiring.

I used the screws that came with the Polk speakers so they'd sit in the openings correctly.

Oh ok, that does make sense. Thank again so much!
