Furrion Vision S Side Camera Wiring

Hello everyone,

We have a 2018 29.5 BHDS and have just attempted to keep stall the Furrion Vision S side view cameras (FCE48TASH LED). Reading the very generic instructions I thought it would be ok to tie all of the positive power wires together and connect them to the existing side marker positive.

Unfortunately, now when I turn on my turn signal for a given side, that camera goes dark.

Would like to know if anyone else has experienced this and found a way to have the camera stay live while the turn signal is on?

Thinking of just snipping the +trigger wire from the camera unit. I imagine that the voltage may spike too high once the turn signal is engaged? I only had two wires going to the factory side marker….so I need to tie in further “inboard” or would cutting the +trigger wire do the job?

That will happen because the flasher removes the 12v from the light as it flashes, so if you want them to stay on all the time, you’ll need to run a constant 12v power supply to the marker location for the camera power supply. Also you’d need a switch to turn them off when not needed.

I plan on doing this soon, this will also allow me to use them as a security camera while at the camp site.

I am having this exact same issue! Just installed mine, left the trigger wire unattached, same issue. I have a 24MBH and I just don't see other wires that would be able to supply the constant voltage to each side.

I'm very hesitant to start wiring extra wires around and such as I'm such a noob. Would like to see how someone else solved this issue.

On mine there is a box in front storage that the light wiring goes thru, I plan on tapping into that for a constant 12v, if that doesn’t work then on the front a frame area is the 12v distribution that I can use and run a wire from that up thru the floor in corner of storage area.

Precisely the situation I’m in. I will pull new wires in a house without question but how to do it in a RV is a mystery to me!!

We actually just drove about 130 miles with the cameras installed as is and I wouldn’t trust them to gauge proximity to other vehicles whilst driving. Huge lag on the rear view for sure. Cars definitely alongside the camper when the camera shows them still behind us. But that said, pulling into our site they were awesome!

I think I figured out a way to make this work, with some wiring and a relay and a switch will report back once I get it all installed. Ran some wires and installed the cameras so far.

I think I figured out a way to make this work, with some wiring and a relay and a switch will report back once I get it all installed. Ran some wires and installed the cameras so far.

I used the blue wire that comes into the jayco smart light controller area, fed from one of the 30 amp breakers on the tongue as my 12v constant. I used the brown wire from this area as running light. I used the white from this area as the ground.

I drilled holes under the bed in line with the front marker light to feed wires up to the marker light.


I used a 5 pin relay,
87 is fed by the constant 12v
87a is ran thru a switch I have in my bedroom and is fed by the constant 12v
86 is fed from the marker light
85 is ground
30 is ran to the cameras to feed the camera+ wire

This allows for the marker to turn the cameras on and they stay on when turn signal is activated or when camping to use them as security cameras by turning the switch on in the bedroom.

Next is to run a wire to back of camper to feed rear camera from relay position 30.

Would you be able to do a short video walkthrough talking about and pointing out all the locations you mentioned? I find that I learn much better when someone talks me through it either in person or video.

I had some time yesterday to open it back up and solder all the joints and heat shrink wrap them since I know this works.

In this pic you can see how I connected the wires to the stock yellow and white wire and the new wire (green) that I ran.

You’ll need to test your wires for a constant 12v (tow vehicle not hooked up) and a taillight (always on when tow vehicles lights are on).

Thank you for documenting this so well! I’m still hesitant about pulling the new wires needed just because I’ve never done so in a camper before but the rest of this I believe I can handle!

Side camera wiring

Used green wire for +12. Used white for ground. Having issues with trigger wire. Right now have red/white on left camera trigger wire. Have brown/white on right side camera trigger wire. Testing will reply once tested. Hopefully someone has solved this issue.

I don't believe the trigger wire is used. Look at the picture in post #11 on this thread. Trigger is labeled but not used.

My goodness Radar 57 You did deliver on all that information. Wow, there's a lot on information to go over. This is very promising. I was at a stand still until someone could provide more information than what I already received. I thank you very much for going out of your way to forward all this information.
