1. It is a CO detector........not a CO2 detector.
CO is carbon monoxide. It odorless and can kill you.
CO2 is carbon dioxide. You exhale this when you breathe.
2. A surge protector is not an EMS (Electrical Management System). An EMS has surge protection.
Surge protector only suppresses voltage spikes (1000V+) of very short duration (microseconds). It does not protect you for low (<104) or high (>132) voltage.
3. A converter makes 12VDC from 120VAC, and provides voltage to keep the batteries properly charged.
An inverter makes 120VAC from 12VDC.
