good places to go in southern Ontario?

Just got a jayco x17z and looking for some good ideas of places to take it. Any one know any up here in Canada

Well there are lots of great public and private campgrounds. Some of our favourite provincial parks in Southern Ontario are Pinery, Point Farms, and Rondeau. Pinery books extremely fast and I think it already has weekends booked full into Aug.
If you have kids, we went to Bissells Hideaway last yr and our kids had a blast. Our Ponderosa near Ipperwash has water slides. We are booked at Emerald lake in Punslinch this summer and it advertises a unique on lake waterpark. Campers Cove near Wheatley is another favourite of friends of ours although we haven't been.
campinginontario.com is a great website to find private campgrounds. And of course Ontario Parks website for the provincial parks.
Have fun, I know we are still hunting for different campgrounds to visit this year.

We liked our stays at Fanshawe Park in London, Bingemans in Kitchner and Scotts at Niagara Falls..

Sherkston Shores about 20 min from Niagra Falls, big campground, access to Lake Erie, a quarry in the Campground, a water park and lots of bicycle trails.

Stay away from Campers Corner RV Campground (formerly London/401KOA). We stayed there one night last summer as we were passing through, and glad we weren't staying longer.

The Pinery is great. I like Sherkston Shores too, but it is busy, not so natural. Six Mile Lake is excellent, and Carson's Camp at Sauble Beach.

We love taking the kids to Jellystone Niagara. Another favourite in Jordan Crossing is Dressell's. We spend weeks down near Sarnia at Lakeview Christian

Totally depends on whether you want a "natural" park or one with a lot of amenities.

I always have to laugh when choosing parks of natural vs amenities when we pull into a site with trailers that consist of microwaves, hot water, toilets, tv's, DVD players, satellites, etc.

Two more places to consider -- MacGregor Point Provincial Park and Inverhuron Provincial Park.
Inverhuron has the better beach, MacGregor has trails, more space between sites, and a so-so beach, although is close to the nice Port Elgin beach.
