Evidently they only want happy thoughts here. Our experience was horrible and they dont want me to share it, no turths allowed!!!!!!!!here so good luck to you all.

I saw your one post, about issues with your 2022 camper. Truths are very much welcome. But I did not see a respond to Grumpy's question if you purchased the unit new or used.

This forum is independent of Jayco, it is just owners and those who like campers. Most who respond truly enjoy camping and want to help others. Sometimes the responses are not the best. We have no influences on Jayco and what they do.

From what I read in your post, I suspect your camper was purchased used. Unfortunately warranties are not transferable. Jayco has one of the better warranties I have seen. The Dealership you buy from really makes the difference. For example most people complain about post sale service from Camping World. Everyone appears to likes buying from them, most hates all aspects of the service. We bought from a small independent dealership, and they bent over backwards to help us even after our warranty expired. Most manufactures only have a 1 year warranty.

All brands of campers require a LOT of of on going maintenance. The first few years, there is a lot of bugs to work out. The next few years I would say are low maintenance and then around year 5-7 things like seals and caulking just need maintenance in these rolling earthquakes.

Give us a try. Post a new thread or two, on what the issues are, and I bet we can help identify the root issues, and what a good few solutions are. If the warranty is expired, you can do the work yourself, or if you do not want to do the work, my recommendation is locate a mobile tech and have them come to you and do the work.

If by "they" you mean Jayco, they are not involved here at all. This is not an official channel to Jayco. We're just folks like you without any responsibility or authority to solve your issues.

I am an English teacher and golf coach, if you need assistance in those areas I'm here for you. I can also help with some problems with RVs, especially the ones I've had. Maybe Jayco owners have found help and assistance here with issues affecting specific Jayco products.

I also appreciate that this forum has remained a positive part of my day and appreciate the work the moderators do to keep me wanting to log in.
Good luck to you!

I don't know if you purchased used or new but I purchased the last RV used and there were some problems I missed in checking it out. I ate the repairs and moved on.

If you purchase it new and miss repairing it in the warranty period shame on you, if you purchased it used and missed issues shame on you and move on.

But that is what was at issue, he didn't ask for help. Consequently I referenced the rules.

Two of his complaints would be routine maintenance on a 2 year old rig. Inspect and reseal the roof as per the owners manual as well as lubricating the toilet mechanism if the pedal sticks.

So you were simply reminded of the terms we all agree to abide by when we sign on (after your very first post), which clearly violated said terms, and decided to announce your departure in an airport loudspeaker manner. Got it….

No camper should be this broken at two years. So sad. Take it for what it’s worth won’t do it again. And they should care but we do live in a world of greed. It’s all about the might bick

You still haven't answered the question. Did you buy it new or used? If used there is no warranty. Other brands also have the same issues.

We just have one person's word at this point.

I haven’t been a member of this Forum for very long, but I’ve been amazed and impressed how well folks conduct themselves here. Administrators, Moderators, and Posters alike. I didn’t see it as a scolding when I read that particular post. Just a bit of FYI. I’ve seen some Posters get roasted here, but nothing like the hunting forums. Those guys can and will be brutal. They’ll tear a Poster apart like swooping hungry vultures. A person can get some great helpful tips and information just by reading this Form and the irv2 forum, so don’t go away. There are proper avenues to take and this Forum can help.

Come back when you're not so angry. Your camper is now yours. Get over the anger and accept; you own it. THEN, FIX IT. You're going to have to learn to work on it...campers always have an issue...ALL BRANDS...but you knew that before you bought one...right? :scratchhead:

I have a new 2022. Found a leak. Patched it...done. It is what it is. No one says you can't have feelings of frustration, but you need to let it go, understand you might not have done your shopping homework and move forward.

THIS IS THE PLACE TO LEARN HOW TO FIX YOUR CAMPER.

Lone Traveler, perfectly stated.

I meant say, this forum is full of the old timers who know their campers and they know their camper fix-it-stuff. A wealth of knowledge.

What those same guys aren't are sympathizers for someone who didn't do their 'camper shopping homework' and just want to sit and cry victim. They aren't ones to jump into the poof of anger and wallow with you.

They are telling you to suck it up, come to terms that you made a questionable purchase and are now here to help you remedy that fact, in ways this forum excels at doing.

Like Ice Road Truckers...without the ice and less wheels.

Also, wasn't his original post in an introduction thread of a different new member? Hijacking a thread was weird.

Yes, a camper that had been abused, neglected, and in an accident before being repossessed and sold at auction certainly will be that broken.

Most folks here own a Jayco and have their own experiences to draw from. Like you, I will value my ownership experience over vague, unsubstantiated claims from a stranger. Me telling you how awesome my ownership had been won't change your opinion anymore than you telling me how bad your experience has been will change mine.

The only thing if value you will receive from posting here is some help with fixing the issues you are having. If you want to vent you will find a bigger, more sympathetic audience on Reddit.

Yes, it was. But I believe too, this same person vented in another thread, not more than a couple days ago, as well.

There is no perfect RV. Our brand new 26RL had 12 items to be fixed/replaced after the first shakedown trip, and another 5 after the second. Without a detailed maintenance history on BlueDolphin’s fifth wheel, there’d be no way to know how much effort was put into keeping it in proper functioning condition. A leaking roof after 2 years wouldn’t surprise me if it was stored in an exposed manner and not checked annually. A flying refrigerator would make me wonder about someone having attempted some repairs and failed to secure it properly afterwards. So many unknown conditions that could factor in here is not an uncommon situation for a used trailer. Not a reason to cut and run in my opinion. Better to stay and learn from the seasoned vets and become more knowledgeable and proficient in my own abilities would be my approach.

@BlueDolphin,

Most of us on the JOF have had our share of RV disappoints and frustrations. You can find comprehensive RV help here.

Go scream at the sky and then come back and seek advice and tactics for making the repairs to your RV. That's what we do here: help each other with our RV challenges and encourage each other in our hobby. You're not the first, and you won't be the last person to be angry. This happens most with new owners. We've been there. When you chill, the JOF members would enjoy helping you with your RV's needs.

While I, along with three or four others, administer/moderate a national hunting/fishing blog, that covers mainly AZ I will agree that SOME hunting blogs are ruthless. We on the other hand work more along the line of this one with assistance, help and instruction. This site does very well at helping, perhaps a bit light on education in researching topics but that is my OCD issue :)

We have a lot of new members who make the mistake of asking for specifics on hunting or fishing spots and that can bring some funny responses like coordinates for the local zoo or some place that you would have to hike 50 miles of back country to get to but in most cases it is helpful. That is what blogs and sites need to be and again this one does a great job.
