Hi all, Dan here. My wife Jennifer and I are now (well, we pick it up this evening) the proud owners of a 2011 Jayco EXP expandable trailer. It's a used unit that was only used 2 nights (according to them) and is being sold to us as new (full warranty, etc) but at a used unit price.

We started camping in 2003 with a tent, moved to a pop up in 2007 and have decided it's time to move to something a little bigger since our boys have got a lot bigger.

Ran across your site while doing a little research before purchasing. Tons of great info here and I know there will be tons more as time goes on. It would be nice to see a section with some how to videos for people that are new to travel trailers and now have to deal with draining holding tanks, water heaters, ovens, refrigerators, winterizing, etc...

If you know of any good vids please feel free to provide a link. Thanks and happy trails!

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum Dkk1967! Definitely check out YouTube.com! Do a search there for things like "how to... rv". I did a quicky search just now, and although I didn't watch it all the way, here's one that should get you started. Congrats on your new tt!

Dan,

Welcome to the Jayco forums from a fellow SE Michigander.

I would get it confirmed in writing (don't accept verbal) that the two year warranty starts with your purchase, not the prior owner. I'm guessing all the existing warranty and VIN documentation at Jayco Corporate is based off the prior owner's purchase date and name, not yours.

Welcome dkk1967 from dg1971. Interesting names we have here.

You will enjoy this forum. Glad to have you plugged in.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and the links.

We've had the camper home about 3 hours and my wife already managed to bust the cord on the blinds. She thought they were like standard household blinds and tried pulling the string to lower them and she busted the string. I tried one of the other ones and can't figure out how to close it so I guess I need to sit down with the manual and figure this stuff out. Didn't have such fangled devices on the pop up :hihi:
