Ok all--I have a BBQ (RVQ), the extrusion rail that holds the BBQ bracket is mounted way too high, or they gave me the wrong bracket, my buddy's bracket sets the grill about the right height, my bracket sets it chest/neck high, I'm 6', LOL. So, in order to be able to free up my camp table I've decided to mount another extrusion rail. It needs to be lower and more towards the back. Here's my question--Can I just drill anywhere on the side of the TT? Or is the current extrusion rail mounted to "studs"? I'm also looking for the white screws that they use, the large Phillips/Square bit head. The holes on the new rail that I have are also closer together and its shorter. Hope I made this as clear as mud, I'm looking for suggestions/help.

Does the bracket holding the RVQ look like this?

On our old hybrid I found the grill to be too high as well, but I was able to just flip the bracket around and it still hung on the trailer bracket. It lowered the grill by about six inches.

No, mine is one that folds flat, and only had the one channel for clipping on the RV. I'm just going to install another bracket.

What did you wind up doing? I got my RVQ bracket today and it's nearly at chest height. The bracket is hinged so it won't support the grill if you mount it upside down.
