Left turn signal is on apply the tow vehicle breaks and the left side marker light camera shows up dark on the monitor screen. The same happen when I go to use the right turn signal. Has anyone experienced this with their trailer.

What is the year and model 5th wheel you have. Your problem could be with the JaySmart lighting system. Just a guess but hopefully others will chimecin.

There are other post on what I think is the issue here. I am not that familiar with the Haloview camera system but I assume it is similar to the Furrion system. The left and right marker light was replace with the camera. Everything works fine until the turn signal is selected.

The marker lights are usually wired with two wires, a power and a ground. With the JaySmart light system there is a control box, usually mounted behind the propane bottles, that will cause the marker lights/running lights to blink when the respective signal is selected. It will intermittently interrupt the power to cause the light to blink. The same happens with the camera. When the signal is selected power is removed from the camera and the screen goes blank. When deselect it goes back to normal.

The resolution is you will need to run another power wire to each of the lights to provide a constant 12 VDC. This will keep the camera powered all of the time. I have seen other post that supply alternative methods using relays in the circuit but I'll let someone else address that.

Hope that answers your question. If I find the other post I'll provide a link.

In your reply your resolution was to run another power wire to the lights I'm assuming you mean the side marker lights. I'm not sure where to tap into to get this additional power from. Do you have any suggestions. Thank you

I have not done this yet. I still have side marker cameras in the box waiting to be installed. I just know what I need to do but haven’t gotten to that yet. Too many other projects on the honey do list.

I know others in the forum have done this. I was hoping they would chime in.

I purchased Byte Tango 1080 HD wireless 3-camera system BT7 Plus to replace the Furrion observation camera that failed. Installing the Haloview observation camera was very straight forward no problems. I did not hook up the trigger wire because on how I choose to use the observation camera when traveling. Either head lights or parking lights must be on.
When the side marker light cameras were installed, everything changed.
There are threads out there that say Chevy & GMC trucks built after 2019 need a 7way adapter with power switch for RV camera system.
After a lot of research and because of the threads about 2019 newer GM trucks I decided to purchase a 7way adapter with power switch even though my truck is a 2017. This adapter did solve my problems.
