Hard to Shut Door

We have a 2022 Greyhawk 29MVP. The entry door is very difficult to close unless it is slammed or pull tightly on the door where it will latch. I’m worried that if I continue to pull hard I will end up breaking the door handle. Any ideas?

Welcome from Northern California !! I would start by adjusting the door striker. It slides in or out by loosing the two screws. I would start by moving it out . Hope this helps.

That striker only moves up and down on mine. There is no way to adjust in or out. I find that it closes better in the winter time than in the summer heat.

To move that striker plate in and out, I used a drill bit slightly smaller that the holes already there and elongated the slot!

Yes, lubrication can help, but I also find this helps us as well.
When we close our door from the inside I use one hand to hold the latch open and the other on the pull handle, pulling the door in to the closed position before releasing the latch. Same with opening from the inside, I pull the door in using the pull handle while opening the latch handle. This is to minimize the pressure between the door latch bolt and the plate before attempting to open/close.
Same goes for interacting with the door from the outside. When closing I will pull up on the door handle, holding it until I close the door securely, being sure to apply pressure to the door before releasing the handle. When opening, I press the door in with my thumb as I use my other 4 fingers to open the latch, again trying to release the pressure on the latch bolt and plate.
Doing this also reduces the noise of a slamming door. I hate that sound.

2X with the Jaythedj post and with FL's post only that I also removed the latch mechanism and lubricated the internal moving parts with the white grease.

When our door latch won't engage without a hard pull, I spray dry lube inside the lock from the outside (keyhole), inside the latch housing, and inside the deadbolt housing. As spray the lube, I work the keyhole, latch handle, and deadbolt knob a few times. This process frees up the entire mechanism, and subsequently the door closes smoothly with little effort. To keep it from becoming stubborn, I have to do this several times each year.

Must be a Jayco thing. I have also had problems with getting my door to latch and stay shut. The best thing I've found is like others have mentioned above. Lube the heck out of the lock. The first time it didn't seem to help much. The second and third times it worked like a champ. It seems to need it every couple of months.

Slamming doors - RV or at home, triggers a response "STOP SLAMMING THE #$%^&* DOOR!" :)

We do the same on the RV, one hand opens latch, the other hand pushes it in.

You can put a large screw driver in the plate and give a few tappy tap taps after enlarging the hole slightly. Might just get you where you need it.
