Has anyone stayed here

I lived in NJ years ago I did stay there back in the early 1990's so any reviews I can give you would be outdated. Although at that time I would say I would camp there again. Just be prepared for mounds of sand to be brought into your camper.

There are many campgrounds in that area so they are competitive

Also from past experience that is about the busiest part of the camping season for that area.

Just think, when you stay there you can give us an up to date review! lol. With all the nice pictures and amnesties, I sure it will be a nice place to stay. I just like more natural surroundings in the boonies. As long as it has full hookups! LOL

Just arrived today . First impression it's ok. Site is level with stone . There are allot of weeds around the sites place could use some land scaping. It is a very large campground. Nice big store and place to eat. The speed limit is posted 10 mph but there is only one truck doing it and that's me. They fly through here. Will have to see how the pool and rest of ammentitee are. Will let know hope it's good. Not overly impressed yet. Will check back during week

We finished our stay at Ocean View Resort in NJ. It is not really a resort. We had a premium pull thru site E14 it was stone over sand. It was long not wide with allot of overgrowth. I had to pick up garbage and blow the pine needles and leaves out of our site. This was suppose to be for big RV's but all the over growth at both ends made it difficult not to hit brush, was not happy. They need to cut down trees and get rid of over growth it makes it hard for campers to maneuver. The posted speed limit is 10mph, no does it and it is not enforced and many of there rules were not enforced. The tram car was fun, but that also had issues. There was a spot to wait in line, however it was not posted as such. So you would wait then you would just have people walk up and get right on the tram. Line should be labeled. The store was well stocked but a little over priced. The Café was not good and way over priced $6 dollars for a milk shake, really. They did have an RV supply store they owned up front that was well stocked and reasonably priced. The swim lake was a good size but you had to watch out for adults and teenagers throwing footballs and balls again not enforcing the rules. That was a pain trying to swim with a child. The pool was clean and nice but they again let these water toys in that shot water and people were getting annoyed , rules not followed. Miniture golf was ok was only open 6pm to 11pm and cost money. The paddle boats were at the other end of the swim lake and was $8 dollars a half hour and in the heat of the sun was enough. That should have been open later when cooler and people done swimming. There were allot of cigarette butts al over , guess because its sand it ok. Well any questions please ask will try to answer soon.

The store also opened at 9am that is late of you forgot something for breakfast. It annoyed some people. Good base camp for gamblers or beach jumpers trying different beaches not great for kids no planned activities

Donedroolin, be sure to sign up for rvparkreview.com and post your findings and reviews there. It's reviews like yours that help folks decide whether or not they would like to stay there. I'm not affiliated with them but have been using their reviews for over 10 years.

Wish I saw this before you went but I was in florida with limited internet access at times.I stayed there with 3 other campers we always go with a we hated it,same issues you had. When we complained about the speeding they said they would look into it but it fell on deaf ears apparently. We left early and went to Beachcomber which was a lot better

Will look into that hopper, this was my short review I had it typed up three times went to post and lost them. Must have been to long, I was so annoyed. Sorry you had the same experience 314. It also never felt like we belonged there. We stay at many resorts and they make you feel welcome. We never got that feeling there, it was strange. Would you go back to beach comber. They told me get the speeding cars plate numbers. I would have needed a notebook. Even the seasonal were tired of the speeding.

Yea I agree with not feeling welcomed,i have a 5 year old and he was afraid to do some things cause the way some of the kids were acting and behaving, now I know that's a parenting thing but you would think the CG would step up here and there for nonsense behavior.I liked beachcomber, site was a little tight to get into but after I found out you could take the post and rail fence down it made things easier, driftwood was also nice to stay in,paved sites and lots for kids to do.
