Hi from Toronto Ontario

Just purchased a 2010 Jayco G2 25RKS and will be picking it up next week. We are moving up from a coleman pop-up trailer that we have very much enjoyed over the years. Like a lot of folks we have been reading about, we are moving up as we have enjoyed the outdoors for many years. Its also a test for us. Still have 3 boys kicking around (25, 21, 16) and we are about 5 years away from retirement.

Have booked a seasonal site not far from home and we will use this year to gain experience with the trailer - not far from home - so we can always grab things we have forgotten. We still plan to go for a few weekends and a couple of weeks somewhere this summer as well.

We hope to upgrade again in a few years once we are retired and spend much more time seeing all the wonderful places and meeting all the great folks across the US and Canada.

Great info on the forum here and its been helpful already. I am sure I will have many questions and will update folks on the things we learn as well.

thanks and I hope everyone is as excited as we are for the upcoming season

Hey Mr McMonk

Have not stayed at Glen Rouge, but know the area well. The park is beside the river and in a valley - it is very nice. Its also run by the city and they generally do a good job.

I have been on trails north of there and it great

good luck

We stayed at Glen Rouge in September, 2008. Very nice park - well kept, large sites, good facilities, nice people. Apparently, there is a pretty high percentage of seasonal occupants, but most of them had cleared out by September.

Awesome! Thanks for the picture, too. We don't normally 'do' the Toronto area but are obliged next month. We generally avoid the KOA's or Private campgrounds in favour of a more natural setting, so this looks right-on-the-money for us!

Picking up the trailer on Monday...looks like that'll be the first trip of the season for us (except, of course, a few dry runs in the driveway...for the kids!).
