Hello All,

Just found and joined this forum today. We brought our new Jayco (25rks G2 Jay Flight) home yesterday. Snow on the ground this morning was a most unwelcome discovery, since we can't even move in until it's gone. To say we are suffering from spring fever is a gross understatement! We are looking forward to lots of traveling in the new rig, which we hope will be relatively trouble free. Maybe we will see you along the way!

We have the 25RKS model as well, but ours is a 2007.
We have had a wonderful time with our TT.
The only problem we had with our TT, was the wallpaper behind the kitchen sink and under the window. Water from the sink would splash up on the wall/wallpaper and made it bubble. We took it to our dealer to have the wall paper replaced.
They did replace the wallpaper and added a piece of plexiglass to protect the wallpaper. They did a VERY NICE job with the repair.
I hope you enjoy your 25RKS as amuch as we have enjoyed ours!!! :D

Ah, Doug and Cheri,

Colorado is our favorite destination for camping. We love the national forest campgrounds starting northwest of Trinidad and running up the Rockies to Leadville. We have a Senior Pass that cuts our camping fees in half. Our absolute favorite national forest campgrounds are Blue Lake, Collegiate Peaks and Turquoise Lake. The annual Boom Days in Leadville is a happin' event and is only a short distance from Turquoise Lake national forest campgrounds.

Welcome to the forum. Be sure and post about your experiences in whatever state, national or private campgrounds you use. Oh yeah, be sure and run your furnace with the windows and doors open before you go camping--it puts out a noxious smell that sets off the smoke detector (read the fine print in the furnace booklet that came with your trailer).

Best wishes for years of great camping experiences.

Thanks

Hello All,

Thanks for the replies! We got the trailer repositioned today and were able to open the slide and start "moving in." It's going to be lots of fun because we have so much more storage than we are used to. And, I can reach all the cabinets and microwave without climbing on a stool!

Will keep the hint about the wall paper behind the sink in mind. Already told hubby that I want plexiglass behind the stove, so maybe we will get enough for the sink too.

We spent a few days at Trinidad State Park last year and loved it. The Salida area is another favorite. Most of our trips last year were with our Good Sam chapter, but we are hoping to get a little farther away this year. Come on Spring!

Catch you later!

Cheri

This is a picture of the plexiglass rework our dealer made. They also sealed the plexiglass all around the edges so water could not drip or leak DOWN the glass.

GOOD LUCK and certainly.......ENJOY the new Jayco!!!
Post some pictures when you get a chance. By the way, here is a photo of the day we took deliver on April 11, 2008 in Minnesota. Ingnore the Truck. We gotr rid of it earlier last year. You get the idea about "Cabin Fever" and the anxious feeling you get when you have something new such as something this big to enjoy! :D

Doug and Cheri,
Welcome and congrats on your 25rks G2 Jay Flight. Don't worry about having all that storage you mentioned in a previous post, you'll fill it up soon :). I've enjoyed many a trip camping in your beautiful state.

Welcome to the forum f00d30. We likewise enjoy your beautiful state. We spent almost a month in July in the Grand Junction-Gateway area then a week in October in the Vail-Avon area.
Hope you really enjoy your new trailer and get to use it often.

Snowing again!

Hi All!

Well. it's snowing again! Will it never stop? The "moving in " process has come to a halt as I don't want to track in a bunch of snow, mud etc. I can report that the furnace works well, and see what you mean about the smell. It should be all burned off by the time we take the trailer out for the shake-down cruise.

Daryl and Sandy: Thanks for the pictures! The plexiglass installation looks great. Hope we can get ours installed before I ever use the sink or stove. We can certainly identify with the delivery day picture!

Wiscampsin: I remember you from the R-Vision forum, and see you traded your Trail Cruiser too. Bet we have a lot in common.

Can't wait for springtime in the Rockies!

Cheri
