Well for starters, I'm actually in Dartmouth but figure your more likely to know of Haliax (sister City to Dartmouth). This will be our first RV, after 7 years of looking .

My Wife and I after spending 6 weeks researching and looking at a bunch of units we've decided on a Jayco. After having a really great experience at the local dealer, we have a Jayco Jay Flight 22Fb waiting for us at the upcoming RV show (January 11'). We're as close to being obligated as you can be, without being obligated to buy :) We told him we wanted to wait till the Show before making a decision. Which he was fine with, but had a unit waiting for us, at the same fall price.

The question I have for you all, is should we consider the Jayco Jay Feather Sport 221? Our tow vehicle is a F150 that's rated for 7900 lbs.
The 22fb (4300lbs) weighs about 500lbs more than the 221 (3800lbs).Will the weight difference affect Gas mileage?? Which is better for more long distance trips?? Anything else I'm missing??

Thanks in advance,
Joe

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum MisterUg! Congrats on your choice of tt. Too bad ya hafta wait so long to go camping still ;)

Either of those weights should be ok for that truck. The ratings you posted, are they GVWR? I have no doubt the techies here will afford you more advice :)
