There hasn't been many post from us in Michigan, so I must Represent.
Most of us here, head north to go camping. So you'll hear us say " I'm going up north this weekend" and then show you on our right hand where we are off too. If you go far enough north, you'll cross the Might Mac. ( Mackinaw bridge ). To God's country called the U.P. Just to be referred to as trolls by the Uppers.
Camping is amazing here. My wife and I just bought a Jay Feather x23b HTT and said goodby to our Coleman pop-up ( with a tear in my eye). She wanted a bathroom with a door, and I still wanted that tent feeling. Can't wait to use it, have to squeeze in with the Halloween campers.
Great forum, I have many question. Thanks

Hi Scotsman, My wife's family is from the UP...Ironwood. You are right..it is God's country. We plan to drive from NJ to the UP next summer and camp along the way. We also just got an x23b last week...our first camper. All the best!

Hello and Welcome to the Forum Michigan :)

We are also new to the forum. I have been reading for days and lots of Great information here!
Happy Camping!

Welcome another x23b owner! We're a bit south closer to Detroit and haven't hit the UP yet but look forward to making the trip that way next year. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the Forum! My mom is from Toivola and we are planning a long vacation from GA to the U.P. sometime soon - well, maybe sometime during the summer which I hear is the 4th of July next year and every year. Winter and the 4th of July...gotta love you guys for dealing with all that snow and cold. We watch broomball from MTU online, no need to get any closer to the action. :nodding:

Welcome!! We made the trip to the UP this past August. Beautiful part of the country. Spent 11 wonderful days there.

Welcome to the JOF, and, more importantly, welcome to the world of RVing with bathrooms and doors!! Although we haven't camped in the UP yet, we have spent a lot of time up there in God's country. Next summer we may embark on a 10 day trip that includes Tahquemenon Falls SP and the Porcupine Mountains SP; it will depend, of course, on work schedules and the price of gas. I'm not sure where in Michigan you are from, but the lower peninsula offers many many many excellent state parks and private CG's where you'll be able to escape the real world and relax in peace and quiet. Happy Camping from here in south Oakland County!!
