Hello we are Dan and Jenn from Ontario we just purchased a 98 eagle 12 from a dealer close to here we have not had a tent trailer before but this is in great shape and perfect for or intended use .we sold a 35 foot travel trailer that was permanently on a lot so we could move around .i have one question to start as I am sure there will be more!!! Would it be wise to have the seams restiched as the trailer is 13 years old although it is in good shape . thankyou in advance for any help you can offer Dan

Hey Dan and Jenn! Glad you found us - welcome to the forum. Can't really answer on the seams, although if they are in good shape and not leaking would there be any benefit to doing it?

Welcome Dan and Jenn. I wouldn't do anything to the seams unless you have issues with them. If it comes time to replace a good source for canvas is www.bearcreekcanvas.com

We owned a PUP for 9 yrs before trading it in last November for our Jayco. Enjoy the new toy.

agree with everyone - welcome to the forum and unless the seams are splitting, leave 'em alone. On our old pup, once it hit 15 years old I found I needed to waterproof the canvas, especially around all the patches I'd put on it! The canvas was weak & clearly nearing the end of it's life, but so long as I (and the kids) were careful, we made it last. Sold it before the canvas rotted out completely to a fellow from Winchester (Ottawa)...

Thanks everyone we are glad we found you too we look forward too many years in our trailer Take Care dan
