We just pulled into our campsite, which doesn’t have cable TV. So I turned on the antenna boost (green light) and did a channel scan. Nothing. There’s a chance we just can’t get any OTA channels but we’re close to a city so I doubt it. And we’ve gotten them in other locales using the antenna. Is there anything else I should do? Does the short coax jumper remain connected to the two coax plugs? Thanks!

Go to tv menu and look for input first and select TV. Then go to channels and select auto program or scan. Then select antenna and let it start scanning. Hopefully that helps.

Yes, I did select air/antenna and did a scan. It looks like we’re just in a bad spot that is shielded from signals. Thanks for the help!

You can try rotating the antenna if you have that function.

Many times you can be in a blind spot but don't let it ruin the trip. We carry a nice selection of DVD's for those times.

Thanks Norty. Tried rotating — just in a hole I guess. Plenty of magazines!

Have you tried the phone app "Antenna Point" yet? It tells you where the towers are and how far away. I did that to watch a college football game from a tower 47 miles away. I pointed, power boosted, channel scanned and it was a perfect picture evn though my team lost.

Haven’t heard of that one. I’ll check it out. Thanks!

A little off topic, but what is the looped white cable and what is it's purpose? I have wondered since we bought our trailer what it did

Anyone near you that you can see which way their antenna is pointing? Does anyone in the adjacent sites have reception?

Well, I tracked down the camp host who said reception at our end of the campground is pretty much non-existent. Have to be up at the top and then it’s sketchy. I’ve never been this close to decent cities and not one channel! At least I know it’s not my cables or TV. So I feel better. Thanks all!
