HELP on tow vec

I order a j flight 28bhbe. It has a dry weight of 6965 lbs with a toung weight of 665 lbs. I will only have to tow it to bring it in for service. I am placeing it on my lot to ack as a fishing camp. I have a 2011 chev. adverlance. Need some input on towing. THANKS

You will need a WDH, brake controller and possibly tow mirrors just for starters.

I don't know if the Avalanche will tow that trailer but if you are going more than a couple of miles I would find someone with a truck set to tow to do it for you. The dealer might even do it and keep it a safe tow with the trailer ending up on your site safe and sound.

The occasional trip in for service can be handled the same way.

Not worth the risk to do it without setting the vehicle up properly.

Do you have a brake controller on the Avalanche? 4 or 5 miles back road would be my top without brakes. No way would I go out on a highway.
If you have no way of towing it,have your dealer spot it for you. For the few times you need it for service hire it done or rent a uhaul.

Have the dealer deliver it. For you to tow it your self, you're looking at $400-$500 min to get a brake controller and WD hitch for a single tow.

I'm not even considering if your avalanche is equip to tow the weight of a BHBE...initial dry weight is one thing, I'm more concerned if you actually need to tow after the fact for service. IMO I'd negotiate the dealer towing the TT and setting it up on your property, then if you do need to get service check into having that performed on site by the Dealer's Tech or a mobile service. Jayco will approve other techs to provide service, doesn't have to be the dealer.
