I recently purchased an Eagle 238Y. Motor ✅, inside great, But all tanks are empty and have been flushed! Where do I start! I do know that I have to fill propane tank. I was going to go to a KOA hook up both electric and fill the water tanks! Am I missing anything???

Congrats!
First what equipment do you have?
Need a potable water hose, Walmart has them.
Water pressure regulator, Walmart.
A sewer hose, don’t waste your money on the cheap ones, get a rhino hose and kit, about 50 at Walmart, had mine close to 10 years now.
Surge protector, get one that fits your unit, 30 or 50 amp.
That gets you started at least.

Got water hose, will check on water pressure regulator,. Got a sewer hose. Will check on surge protector? And thanks Markb5900!

Do you have one or two rooftop air conditioners?
If one it’s probably 30 amp if two it’s a 50 amp.
Amazon is about the cheapest for a surge protector.

Not sure what kind of surge protector I need! All the ones I saw at Ace were accompanied with a cord! Is my A/C plugged into an outlet, I'll go check this out, I assumed it was straight wired in? Learn something new everyday!! Thanks, I'll find out tomorrow!

Oh my my...lol

Google RV surge protector, camping world or Amazon has them, it's to plug into the power panel at the RV park, then yer RV power cord plugs into it. Not for yer AC to plug into

Did u not get the 411 on the unit when you got it?
Either way read yer manuals a lot.

It's a house constantly in an earthquake, so you will have minor issues cheap up

Get a volt meter too

Learn and understand everything
Filling water
Flipping from fill to city or water tank/pump
If yer 30 or 50 amp
One or two AC will depict if yer 30 or 50, usually
How to dump yer tanks, correctly

Lots to learn and sounds like yer a beginner with an expensive toy

Good luck and safe travels

IMO you want more than just a surge protector. Spend the extra $ and get a Progressive Industries EMS (Electrical Management System) or Hughes EPO (Emergency Power Off). Both are available in 30A and 50A portable and hard wired models. Either will give you more protection than a surge protector. Links:

Progressive: https://www.progressiveindustries.net/our-products

Google and YouTube are about to become your best friends.
Go to YouTube and search rv setup. Hundreds of videos will come up. Watch 2 or 3 of them and you will get the idea.
Personally I would start with the basic stuff, then purchase things as you go along as you find what you need/want.
There are hundreds and hundreds of nice to have things out there that you don’t “need” to have to use your rv and have fun.
This board is a great resource also, but like any public forum you are going to get many differing opinions on things. So do your own research on things. Most mean well but only you know your particular wants and needs.

I have responded to everyone's replies to my post, 2 times! Then sent both but it doesn't show! What am I doing wrong??

What do you mean by "Responded" and "then sent both"? What specific buttons are you clicking on?

And while we are at it, what does "Help w/GO" mean? What is GO?

I'm tired! Will try this tomorrow! I made 3 long replies to answer all those who gave me advice! But I did not push the options (Thsnks-Edit-Quote-etc) in there post. I'm learning!!

I sent you a PM that may fix your posting issue.

Need help to go! On trips! But need help with advice regarding the proper use of my new/old RV!

Practice, practice, practice before you leave on a long trip.
Practice in your driveway or a Walmart parking lot.
If that KOA is close, then practice there.

1) Do you know how to plug into the camground electrical pedestal? (Also called 'shore power'?)
2) Do you know how to get water flowing in the RV?
3) Do you know how to empty the black and grey tanks?
4) Do you know how to turn on the propane?
5) The water heater?

Love your practice....! Yes to all! Have not practiced any! Reread about heater and propane tank Saturday then to RV and confirmed how they work. Will fill the water up tomorrow. I am practicing what you suggested! Thanks for the great questions! B

Hey man just don’t be afraid to ask. Plenty of good people here that will try to help. Learn as much as you can about your rig and don’t be too hard on yourself you got this.
