High spout faucet in outdoor kitchen

I read a post about the tiny, useless bathroom faucet jayco used in the outdoor kitchen and decided to change mine. I couldn't even wash a cup in the sink before. It turned out to be a 10 minute job. Pulled out the drawer to the left and pushed the panel in which is in front of the sink. It's held in by a few staples from behind. Hand loosen all connections remove faucet and install new one. I will probably make a door out of the panel instead of stapling it back. Delta faucet from HD cost $50. Question came up if that sink is connected to the black water tank. Can anyone confirm this?

I got my camper used and I'm sure that the faucets were stock in mind, but they all were hooked into my Grey water tanks. I replaced all of my crappy plastic faucets with some new ones I found at http://www.rvpartscountry.com/RVFreshWaterPlumbing. You might check those out for a few new faucets. I got the tall faucet too.

It's been reported on thus forum that the outside kitchens are in fact plumbed to the black tank. I can't confirm 100%, but a call to Jayco customer service can.

if your tanks are empty,open both dump valves,turn on faucet,look to see which tank its comming out of.
It's got to be faster than a phone tree and waiting on hold for customer service.

Having a hard time getting the connections to fit. Any advice? Should I pull the sink up so there is more room? I must be missing something!

Having worked my way through college running plumbing, I can tell you trying to put on a faucet on a installed sink is a pain even with a plumbers wrench. I would remove the sink and install the faucet then re-install the sink and faucet together. You'll be able to get a better seating of the faucet this way and get it tight enough. Getting out the sink is no big deal. Carefully cut the sealant around the sink between the sink and the counter top, release the hold down clamps under neath the counter top on the sink and you're good to go once you disconnect the water lines.

I find that if you use the new hoses, they only have to be tightened a little past hand tight. Now if you have huge hands and can't tie yourself into a pretzel, you may have to remove the sink and put it back in tightened and with water hoses attached.

I have a 2014 32BHDS and my outside kitchen sink is in FACT plumbed to the black tank. Be sure to keep a close eye on your black tank level[emoji46] dont ask how i know. YUCK

I have a 2015 32BHDS and I am going to install a check valve in the sink drain line this weekend. I have no earthly idea why Jayco thought this was a good idea, but I am not interested in raw sewage finding its way into my outdoor kitchen. Piss poor design - pun intended!

Seems like it would back up in the toilet before the sink drain. I know that if my bath grey water fills, it backs up in the lowest drain which is the shower stall, not the sink. The post seems to say that it doesn't?

Seems like it would but mine did not.

Didn't get to this mod this weekend as it was a little more involved than I originally thought. I have to drop the liner on the bottom and I was not in a position to do that this weekend. Hopefully next weekend this will be my focus. I REALLY don't like this set up. I can't believe Jayco did this....

I believe in my 2015 314BHDS the outside kitchen has its own grey tank and is not plumbed into the black tank. I have two grey tanks and one is for kitchen and bathroom and one for outdoor kitchen.

No matter what we do we cannot seem to get a tight seal. Seems maybe the tails on the faucet pipes are too long. Not sure if that is an easy fix to cut them or if we should just give up.....

as a plumbing contractor i can tell you that on my 32bhds the out side bar sink is in fact tied into the grey tank (its connect to the handsink,shower line,kitchen sink)
