How much discount off of MSRP

Did anybody have success with bringing the RV Direct quote even lower (with RV Direct or any other dealer)?

How much in average should transport to West Coast cost? I heard about $2.5-3k.

Thanks

I visited a couple dealers and they were quoting 1400 transport fee...

We got a little more than 30% off MSRP at CW in Kingston, NY. It was a unit they were trying to be rid of.

And SWMBO and I tag-teamed the salesman and his manager perfectly!

We had a member here who started a career delivering RVs in 2013. I asked him how much a driver was paid to deliver TT to the dealers and in Jan 2014 he told me drivers were paid ~$1.20-$1.50 per loaded mile. That would confirm $2500-$3000 from Ohio to California. The dealers we looked at we quoting $2500 so I felt the two sources were aligned with each other.

Had to drive 3.5 hours but saved 36% off MSRP on a new X213. Of course it was a 2015 purchased in September of 2015 but I'm not complaining.

As mentioned in other posts, I traded in, so I'm not exactly sure of the discount. MSRP for the new rig was about $37.5 with options and destination charge. Trades are tough, as mentioned elsewhere, it affects the discount on a new rig.
I checked with another dealer much farther away and they quoted me the same exact price, so I'm satisfied with my trade and final price. I was able to negotiate waiving the $500 delivery to my site from my local dealer.
