Recently purchased a 2018 Hummingbird and the in line fuse has randomly blown out twice in the last few months (after first figuring out where the stupid fuse was located:mad:). Not sure what the cause is or if there is a short between the battery and the fuse. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot the issue would be appreciated. :help:
PS: I am towing with a 2013 F150 with a factory towing package.

Are you talking about the inline fuse for the electric jack. You may be running the jack up to the limit point and blowing the fuse, then next time when you go to lower it is blown.

I think we narrowed down the answer. When disconnecting from AC power at the rv campground, all appliances in the trailer had not been shut down causing the fuse to blow. Thanks. Will verify next time I make a trip by shutting down all the appliances and checking fuse before rolling out.

Sounds like its worth a try. When leaving I always turn off each breaker first then the main breaker in the breaker panel, then outside I turn off the pedestal power breaker then unplug shore power.

It doesn't take but a split second to blow that 30A fuse if you bottom out or top out the tongue jack. I blew mine twice before figuring that out.

Good advice here.

I may manually raise mine to try to see where to stop, maybe I can avoid using the spare 30a fuses I bought .
