I'm so old that....

Riding around on pickup truck tailgates was a common site and shotguns and rifles on gun racks in unlocked trucks with the windows down. (small town)

Ain't that the truth...

I was paid $8 for working at the local grocery store from 7:00am till 8:00pm on Saturdays, and an extra $2 if I worked Friday afternoon after school. And, it lasted all week, including gas for my car.

According to my older sister. Getting old is not for the faint of heart. Now that I am there I am just going to bite the bullet and go for it. lol

My sister lived next door to the man who created the California Raison claymations.
She lived in Portland OR. This was many years ago.

My first tent camper, a starcraft constellation 8, had the "heater" in the floor. A little radiator looking thing that put out a little warm air.
That failed on one trip. The fiberglass hard tops on the canvass bunk ends cracked in the single digit temps.

I used to use the J C Whitney auto parts catalog and they offered a record turntable for cars. It mounted on the transmission hump and was "shock" mounted. Never bought one, figured it would scratch up my albums. Pre-8 track days.
