Installed Dishwasher, Deleted Oven, Best Mod EVER

Just finished installing the home made drawer above it. This sliding dishwasher fits the space the oven was in to the millimeter side to side. We use it every day and we used the oven twice a year, if that...

The oven was soooo useless. Maybe if you are baking for a bunch of kids, but it’s just the two of us living in it full time. We got sick of hand washing dishes!

Great looking work in your kitchen area & I also ditched the oven & moved the microwave to that location. It increased our pantry space above and we cook by either portable butane or induction top.

Perfect. I wonder how many people actually regularly use the oven, especially since the microwave is a large convection oven and bakes quite well...

Very nice work! Lol, my camper is 12 years old and I've never used the oven but it does make for some good pot/pan storage.

Thanks! Yes, I made it myself. Basically hardwood panels but the hard part was the face, I cut a wood piece that fit correctly and took it to a local metal shop and had them create a stainless "cover" for it, (about $200) and then drilled two holes for the handle to attach it to the drawer. Then I used double sided "superglue" tape to mount the slider on top of the dishwasher (making sure to leave a slight gap between the drawer front and the dishwasher). Totally solid setup...

I’m the odd ball

Well I guess I’m the odd ball, but we use the oven all the time (bread, pastries, cookies, turkey, meatloaf, granola, etc..). We are full time and don’t mind hand washing dishes and would remove the dishwasher for storage if we had one

I want to remove our range. Replace the cook top with an induction top and use the oven space for storage. I would replace the microwave with a convection oven microwave
