Insurance Provider for full-time rvers

IMHO, I would consult an Independent Insurance Agent. They will be able to find you the best coverage and price from multiple insurance companies vs a captive insurance agent (State Farm, Geico, Liberty Mutual) who works for a single insurance company. Customer service and claims processing seem to be quite better with independent agents in my experience.

I had Progressive for full timers RV insurance, bought through an independent agent. Price was reasonable, about $400 per year, but that was for a travel trailer.

We have progressive through Hi Sage, but going to check directly going to progressive, we pay 1800.00 a year for a 2018 Jayco Seneca FS

I too usually consult an independent insurance agent. It's really hard to beat the prices they can get if you find the right one.

If you choose to go direct, Progressive is a good start. Their prices are competitive and they offer a lot of bundled plans to save on multiple policies.

We have Progressive through USAA.... paid off in March when I damaged the back top corner of the Fifth Wheel.... little over $22K for repairs....whew! And they haven't raised our rates .... yet...

Progressive RV insurance for full timers is as close to a home owners policy that you can get. I was with Liberty Mutual for over 30 years and when we went full time Liberty Mutual said "Sorry"! I had to switch all my casualty insurance to Progressive.

State Farm has always done me well..

I had to go to Progressive because State Farm didn't offer full timer RV insurance, at least that was the case a few years ago. Maybe they've added full timer's to their offerings.

After I quit full timing I went back to State Farm. For the regular, recreational RV insurance I'm now paying a little over $100 per year.

Progressive, you choose the coverage, when parked at home I put collision on hold and reduce contents and liability to save quite a bit of money.

All on my phone from anywhere.

Keep in mind that independent agents earn their money from commissions paid by the insurance company. You don't get a better deal going directly to the provider and you get the benefit of the independent checking multiple insurers to get you the best deal.

Was with Progressive for our first year as FT. Our agent was able to get a fully equivalent policy with National General for half the money. If you are interested, this is contact info.
