This may be a stupid question ... so pls be kind :) I have a 2018 Octane 272. When I take in or retrieve the awning, it winds up in 2-3 bursts with a long pause in between. So I end up standing there pushing the button for 2-3 seconds, and when it stops I let go and give it 10-15 seconds and start it again. The retrieval 'spurts' lengthen as the awning comes in closer. Is this a safety feature (to prevent retrieving the awning too fast and binding it up, or rolling it up with water or debris still on it), or is there something wrong with my power awning? It does this on both battery power and shore power. I've just blown it off and dealt with it up to this point (it does work, albeit slower), but I'm due to have it inspected soon and want it addressed at the dealership if it's faulty. Thanks everyone.

Sounds like a problem to me. As long as I hold the button mine will come all the way in or out. No stopping.

I would not count on any help from Jayco! Its not working right sounds like you have warranty left.Similar problem on my dinning slide motor. Replaced motor problem solved. Thanks
