jayco freedom paint problems

Hi i have a 2005 jayco heritage poptop & the fibreglass surface is in poor condition looking as if it were scratched.
I have been told that this is not uncommon for this particular year/model & is not an issue with later models.
Wondering if there is a quick fix for this problem.
