Jayco Greyhawk Camera

not much to go on here..

where does the camera normally show up? on the radio head? what unit? is it black, does the screen have power?

Here's some wiring docs for you to check out. In my 2018 Greyhawk there's a single RCA that goes from the camera to a device call Voyager (never seen it) and that goes to the radio.

If the mirror cameras work, prob not the head/radio unit or the voyager. If they don't either voyager unit or head unit/radio.

Need to find the Voyager and make sure the RCA cables are tight and unscrew the camera from the rear of the unit and make sure its still plugged in.

Your attached picture is of the inverter which has noting to do with the cameras.

I have the same setup in my 2017 Greyhawk. If the radio is off and you put it in reverse, the radio will show the rear camera. In any event, the radio has to work to display the cameras.

The 3 cameras connect to a switcher I think in the area near the hood latch under the dash. Before poking around there you should get the radio operational.

Power to the radio comes from either the house battery or the chassis battery. It is routed through a diode adapter harness. See the attached wiring diagram. The first step in troubleshooting is to verify you are getting 12 volts to the radio. You can reseat the cable connections and probably measure the 12 volts going in. If you have good power feeding the radio and it still won't turn on, it may have failed.

Has the radio ever worked?

My switcher was directly behind the head unit. There are a bunch of threads on problems with the camera, mainly the rear, with Grayhawks and at least one thread that has bunches of info on the switcher and connections. Some of us changed out the head unit and went through that mess.

Also, Jayco did a junk job of wiring and many, and I mean many had the camera wires that run near the emergency brake, cut by application of the brake. One or two had the wire "clipped" which causes shorts with the cameras.

Basically this is a case of doing some research to determine what your problems in and then likely pulling the dash to get to the wires and it will be a MESS of wires but with what we have right now, we do not know what the real issues is.

well now you know what to figure out. I'd look at a fuse behind the unit or under the hood.

There is a fuse behind the dash near the emergency brake but again considering Jayco wiring, good luck locating it right away.

If you know how to use the search feature this is also covered in several threads.

A audio shop that does stereo installs can likely fix the problem because from what I a deducting it may be something that you will have a problem tackling. It does get complicated especially with the dash. That alone is a PIA to remove. Good luck

After much troubleshooting on my 2019 Redhawk, I just ordered a new camera from Amazon plugged it in the back and lo and behold it worked. My camera was bad. I figured if it wasn’t a Cameras just send it back.

Camera

I too had camera problems…was finally told by Geek Squad the the camera was bad…Had it replaced by a sound shop in Eugene, OR and its worked like a charm ever since. Was told this cameras can’t be expected to last more than 1-2 years. $55 to replace, including labor.

I also found my camera to be bad. I replaced it and angled it down to watch the toad. I then added a new wireless camera with a screen that attached to my rear view mirror. Now I have a rear view and a toad view. It's nice to look at the read view mirror and actually have a rear view!
