Leaving for a couple months and will be putting on about 8-9000 miles. Time to replace the tires on my 2020 Seneca. The commercial tire guy stated he would put on the Firestone’s instead of the Michelin's. He said the Firestone has a stiffer ride but I shouldn’t notice. I was just going to replace them with what they came with. Thoughts ? Is there a better tire yall recommend?

I've been very happy with my Michelins on my Precept as well as the Toyo's and they are much less expensive than the Michelins.

Seems a little early to replace them but that’s your choice. Unless they are showing signs of sidewall cracking or deterioration, you are good for 7-10 years. I have done lots of research and have decided when I get new tires I will be going with the Toyo M170 tire, many have switched to it and say they are great.

They are starting to show sidewall cracks mainly on 2 of them.

A Michelin representative at the Seneca Rally in Shipshewana last year stated their tires are warrantied for seven (7) years. She even worked with a few rally attendees to get their tires replaced that were showing sidewall cracks. Might try finding a local Michelin Truck/RV dealer and see what they say.

That’s some great info! Thanks so much for that. I’m on hold right now with Michelin warranty. We will see what they say. Is it ok to replace only the ones cracked or replace all at the same time.

We were one of the folks at the rally that had the Michelin rep help us with getting our tires warrantied and replaced. We had sidewall cracking and she worked with us and I can say that Michelin sold me as a return customer just because of the customer service and how they backed and honored there product.

Has anyone bought and tried Yokahama?

I have one of the yokohamas Had a steer tire blowout in my driveway due to a surge and needed it replaced asap for my summer travel (we were leaving in 2 days for a series of trips). Tire shop did not have Michelin so I put the yoko on. Several k miles and it seems good - no complaints. I plan to replace it or at least move it to the rear when we have some idle time this fall.

we have Hankooks on our 2019 Redhawk and at 15000 mille show very little wear.keep them covered when not traveling and at campgrounds. makes a difference.

We decided to go with Michelin.

Thanks for the advice. Had a blowout last year and replaced all 4 fifth wheel tires. The had another blowout this year at the tire location.

Firestone should be good. They use Bridgestone technology and are built in TN.

Just be sure you confirm the Load Range is = or higher than the tires you are replacing.
Do you have TPMS? If not this is good time to be sure you get bolt in metal valve stems for the TPMS sensors to screw on-to.

I saw the post about fifth wheel tires. I had three (3) tire blowouts on mine with significant damage each time. I replaced the four (4) tires EVERY year at the advice of my friend, a tire executive, until I went to load range G tires. Then went three years with no problems. They typically have to be ordered but they are worth the money.
