Was wondering about others experience with JAYCO Warranties and Customer Service. I have owned Forest River many times over prior to purchasing a JAYCO 5th Wheel last year. (377RLBH Northpoint)

Brought it in for Warranty Service at the local Blue Compass.

3 Months
Pulling teeth, lies, weeks to respond on items

I got customer services involved and they do anything but help. Brand new unit so many issues, they deny things like ROOF SEALANT SEPARATING - DENIED. Unit is 6 months old - they say its normal.

Ended up suing Blue Compass for all the lies and delays - will see where that ends - but just wondering is this is the new quality of Jayco and is this a common experience?

I don't know which BC dealership you are dealing with but I also had to deal with awful customer service from mine. After some back and forth with Jayco things got worked out and since then BC has replaced most of the management at that dealership and things seem to be getting better.

Not sure I agree - since I contact Jayco Customer Service myself while its in the shop - I would have thought they would act as a customer advocate and try to resolve issues. Much better experiences with Forest River in the past.

You can sue for lies and wait time? Interesting.

Anytime I have to send my 5ver for warranty work I expect it to be at the dealership for 20-30 days if its several things. I am do not know how full timers do it. Jayco really looks for the easy way out to deny claims, the service writers really have to draft these warranty claims very carefully and leave no doubt its a manufactures defect. I have had Jayco deny a warranty claim from the dealer I purchased it at, then approve that same claim when it was filed through another.

It just so happens a friend of mine started at blue Compass here in Tucson , he got several claims approved that were previously denied at Camping World. He did have to resubmit a claim on the bathroom door but did get that approved on a second go around.

Now I am currently having trim replaced, bathroom door replaced, and the bed room slides looked at as they do not it level side to side. Jayco sent the wrong trim for one part so we had to wait for it to arrive again, initially it took probably 3-4 week to get all the part in. The once I took it to Blue Compass its been there about 3 weeks and still waiting.

Do you have pictures of the roof, was it leaking?

Answering your first question. I've had excellent service from my dealer and Jayco. Only one warranty issue and it was handled flawlessly. Another issue I was expecting to pay for and the dealer fixed it at no charge while I was waiting.

More than 25 years of owning 5th wheels and I agree that it’s as much the name of the dealer as it is the name of the RV unfortunately. We bought our Jayco from one Meyer’s dealership and took it to another for service and there was a huge difference in the quality of their staffs and support. One other thing to remember is that there is almost zero federal regulations that regulate 5th wheels. I bet there are more federal regulations governing ketchup or aspirin than towable RVs.

Yes you can. If they state "I fixed this" or "I Submitted for these repairs" when in fact they did not. When they state they have been doing x,y,z for past 14 days - but yet confirmed that in fact - no work was done at all. Deceptive business practices. I can go on - but the point is - yes. Words matter. Actions/inactions as well.

The Rudderrail is pulling apart at 5.5 months (new).

Good Luck.

I have a new 2024 24b and my warranty experience was way different. I needed little things and I was willing to fix them if they sent me the parts. New refer latch, a damaged blind, entry door latch, damaged interior trim in 4 locations. They sent the parts I reported back they were corrected. Zero trips to the dealer. For new units call customer service and sent them a photo and details. I needed no special tools to do any of these repairs. There were several small repairs that did not require parts, took care of those. We as owners do a much better job of dialing in these units.

That's interesting, Jayco told me I could only get parts thru a dealer.

I was lucky in one instance. I was around 1100 miles away from my purchasing dealer and my hitch switch went out. Of course I was not going to buy a new one just for a switch and Jayco service was not going to pay for one if I sent them a request unless I went to a dealer.

As they say i could go to Hellandwait for something that unless I used the manual crank all the time I could not level my camper or even get it off and on the hitch for towing. I decided to call my selling dealer and they have the switched in stock and sent me one complete drop in panel with the light switch included.

They sent me a prepaid label to return the old broken switch back and I exchanged it free of charge. That time was the only time that a warranty type issue was handled without hours of grief.
