Howdy Jayco owners. Just purchased an x213. Has a sticker on the wall for tv mount. Just curious if anyone has the same feature? There is one stud seems to be just out of reach or at the furthermost right side of the so called mounting area. So im thinking about mounting about a 10 or 12 inch square wood plate first. But from all the info i can find it seems i need to use hollow wall type fasteners. I see some say one inch non self tapping screws. Btw i have a 24 inch LG. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to JOF and congratulation on the new TT!

Don't trust the sticker - use a stud finder to verify where the studs are. I've mounted TVs twice, and both times the sticker was out of place. Your idea of a plate behind the TV is a good one, but I'd be sure it was fastened to studs as I personally wouldn't trust hollow wall fasteners to hold the weight of a TV in a TT. Not sure where the TV mounts in your particular rig, but if it's an outside wall be careful that you don't penetrate the outside wall with screws that are too long.

In my case, I bought a wall mounting bracket that was long enough to mount to two different studs and hung the TV from there. I don't remember what size screws I used, sorry. So far we've made it four years and ~20k miles with no problems.

Thanks for the response Robkelly. I drilled a 1/8 inspection hole about 1/2 inch deep right dead center of their sticker. Low and behold there is wood back there. The dealer claimed i have 4 inches all around from the edge of the sticker. Im about to grab my stud finders and see if i can locate anything before i begin to mount the plate. Jayco claims do not use more than a one inch screw so ill adjust depending on the thickne of the board i use. Once the plate is on then ill mount my bracket offset slightly to be able to make the tv go flush against the wall as far as possible. Im hoping that sticker is right. Im trying to post a pic
