Logitech Harmony remotes are the best universal remotes in my opinion. Little expensive for something I would leave in the TT. The harmony is the only non oem universal remote I found to really work well.

I thought my Jensen remote was bad also. Turns out it is the TV. Unfortunately my unit came with 3 Jensens. They are very finicky at how precisely the remote is aimed and from how far. The good thing about them is they can be viewed from a very hard angle. The bad thing is the remote will not work from that angle.
