You don't realize how much junk you are actually carrying around till you start moving it from one trailer to another. Time to get rid of some stuff.

When you say accumulate you mean purchase and when I look around I see $$$$ signs just blowing in the wind. If I had to do it all over again I'd have a much larger bank account.

We've recently upgraded to a TT from a popup, we could not carry too much within the popup itself, but we did a masterful job filling the bed of the TV. We have yet to camp with our new TT, but I've spent around $1,000 on essentials for it. I expect to visit with the UPS driver at least twice next week.

Depressing !

Pursuant to this thread and looking at others' posts, I felt I had to add my experience. Hunting/camping in Kodiak and Oregon since 1974 necessitated having LOTS of "stuff". Recently I was in an enormous Cabela's, then a Sports Authority store. Drifting around both for about an hour each, looking at almost everything, I left each dejectedly, wondering why. Thinking about it, I came to an astounding realization - criminee - I had everything I needed ! - NOT necessarily wanted, but NEEDED - though admittedly there were some things I might have rationalized needing, really just 'cause they might be used - nevertheless, didn't need. How depressing .

We made the switch a couple years ago. If we had any more it wouldn't have fit in our barn.

I feel your pain. I traded RVs at the end of last season. 4 days of unpacking the RV and finding homes for everything in the house. I need to make sure at least two thirds of that makes its way to craigslist rather than the new RV.

When we got our new 377 home last November I "cleaned House". If I hadn't used it in more than 2 years out it went. Now it seems each trip out I seem to be looking for the one tool or item that is no longer in the rig.

I traded in my travel trailer in the fall and am waiting for my new trailer sometime in April. I couldn't believe the boxes and stuff in my basement. Hopefully purge a lot prior to re-loading.

You think you have a lot of "Junk" in the rig? Just wait until you sell the "stick & brick" and become a "full-timer", as I did 3 years ago! After throwing out junk for 2 months, then having a garage sale and donating the rest to charity, I still had the truck bed "overstuffed" with junk. It took another 3 months before I had it whittled down to a manageable level. Thank God for campground dumpsters! Getting ready to return to Michigan after "snow birding" in TX, I've spent the last week getting rid of more junk! And, of course, I had to get more junk that I'm sure to need when I get back to Michigan.

Yep. We just went through this...
unpacked the 5th wheel and then started putting what we could into our new Jayco Seneca... you'd think the Seneca would hold a lot, but there's nothing like the basement storage on a 5th wheel! We'll be investing in a hitch platform to take the rest of our "stuff" with us.
