I want to purchase and install myself a key-less entry lock but not with finger print recognition. I don't know what to buy. What works well.

Thank you,

Larry

I bought the rvlock as well, just moved it from my old tt to the new one. took like 5 minutes

We first got the Bauer Bluetooth lock for our camper. We had some issues and their support team were fast to resolve each. We continued to have issues and decided to try another. We got it off Amazon but I notice today this one is not available on Amazon anymore. Nevertheless, I recommend it wholeheartedly.
Features:
1. Lights up at night and has easy to grasp handle
2. Easy combination to set and loud beeps and lights to confirm it's locked/unlocked
3. You can lock/unlock with either a Remote, a Key, NFC discs or NFC wallet card.
Here is the link to see it.

As far as I know nobody makes keyless for our Class C motorhome. You are posting about keyless locks on your FW and TT.

Our '16 came with a Bauer keyless. After watching it chew thru batteries every couple of months , I replaced it with a keyed lock.

Post a pic of your lock. I would go back to keyless in a heartbeat. My FW came with it and I replaced it with blue tooth version.

Hi, I do want to get a key less lock for my Jayco 22J class C small motor home.

Are there any 22J owners on here or am I all alone? I thank all of you who have responded but I still want to find an owner with exactly my brand and model.

We have a class C and in August purchased the Carmtek TripDefender RV Keyless Entry Door Lock for Class C/A Motorhomes. I love it!
However, I just went to go look for it to get the information for you - and it looks like it is no longer available on Amazon. The company website is still up, but the link to purchase it takes you to Amazon, which is not working, so it makes me wonder if it went under? I would be very disappointed because it wasn't really too bad to install, comes with fobs, keys, and has a key pad - so you have lots of options.

Thank you for taking the time to help me out with a key less door lock.
You have helped and I appreciate your effort.

Hi Larry. I have a 2018 Redhawk 22J. This sounds like an interesting upgrade. Is the reasoning to be able to do activities etc and leave the keys to the RV inside?

Anyway, would be interested to know which you got and how was the installation usage since it appears you also have the redhawk? Thanks!

Hi, We recently purchased our Jayco Class C from a dealer. I am hoping that it lasts us for a long time without many service trips. Are you from Asheville? I hope you survived the flooding. I want to get a key-less system. I also want to get a wider foot step for entry. Have you noticed that? I believe Jayco might have one?

I'll just chime in and say that replacing my door lock (albeit in the >other< direction, keyless to keyed) was pretty easy. It appears that the hole cut in the door is somewhat a standard. My non-Bauer keyed fit into the older Bauer-sized-keyless hole fine.

What I did need to do was clean up the caulk on the outside, as the new lock was a smaller. Some denatured alcohol and gentle scrubbing took care of it.

Wider as in 'front RV bumper to back bumper' or what I'd call "deeper" as in the depth of the step? As in the amount of space to plant a foot. :)

IIRC most of Jayco's steps come from Lippert. You can browse their site to see what's available. I think on mine, I couldn't go "wider", but I could go a bit deeper. I think...

Hi Larry. I hope hope you're enjoying it! We bought ours used in 2023. It is a 2018.

Yes we are from Asheville. Thanksfully, we were okay. Thanks for asking.

I thought you had bought one. Please update if you do decide on one, would be interested to see how it went on your redhawk 22j.

Hmm, I have not noticed an issue w/ the foot entry. It is probably not ideal, but it is a mobile home. I am willing to live w/ some things not being ideal. It hasn't bugged me, that part.
