Kingpin Stabilizer & Electric Water Tank & Water Filter

Hi ... VERY new and green to the world of rv life and have what may seem to be redundant and unimpressive questions but have found some helpful and supportive info here at this site.

We have a Jayco 2015 Pen. 36KTPS and wondering about purpose and need of a kingpin stabilizer. We do experience a bit of play when moving about but not sure what we should look for/be aware of if we were to purchase one. Thanks in advance for assistance.

We have switch on control panel for electric water heater but does not work. We are able to get hot water with the propane tank. What are we doing wrong?

Last we have an extra water filter and a wrench as described on a sheet of ineffective instructions but can't locate the water filter to save a life!! Help plez!!

The water filter in my FW it's hidden behind one of the removable panels in the Pass Through. The Country Fill hose was under the bed.

Water Heater on electric. I assume you made sure the water heater was filled with water prior to turning on the AC Water Heater switch. If not you probably burned out the heating element.

I use a king pin Stabilizer and I think it makes the bedroom more stable. Some don't think it's necessary.

I recommend the stabilizer, and we bought the aluminum version because of weight. As to your water heater there is a switch on the lower left hand corner on the outside that also needs to be turned on. Once that is on the inside switch will control it. The water filter is located behind the small wood access panel in the front storage compartment right behind the utility panel, you need to remove two screws.

Sounds like your dealer didn't do a very good PDI. They should have shown you the filter and water heater switch.

Insure that your RV is plugged in. The electric part of the water heater will only work when you plug your RV in to shore power (or run on generator if you have one). It will not work on 12v, you have to have 110V A/C. Also check to be sure that all your circuit breakers are on.

Want to say thanks to all who responded. As a result we found the water filter, got the electric water heater working, and will be purchasing a stabilizer this weekend. Our demo training was as noted not very good it was a cold and windy Buffalo day and they were winterizing and cleaning the FW which made them rush thru it making us feel like we were in their way. It is nice to know that there are great people out there willing to help. MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
