So, we’re in a beautiful campsite in a state park near the ocean. The sun’s out but sitting outside means “enjoying” the odor from the two neighboring campers who sit outside all day and chain smoke. So, we either leave or stay inside . I am perfectly happy smelling campfire smoke, but cigarettes? Yuck. One of our favorite private RV parks is no-smoking throughout. I wish they all were.

Calif allows smoking in a public place??????

It's amazing how sensitive a non smokers nose is. I think this is something that drives many of us nuts. I have a small box fan and a 12vc fan that is sometimes helpful moving the odors away!

Very true. I remember as a kid being around both grandparents who smoked and it was just part of life. And as a young newspaper reporter, the old reporter in the desk next to me smoked like a chimney. That was life. Now, after decades of no-smoking allowed in public places, it’s sure a lot more noticeable. Good idea, Norty.

We Camp Hosted for many years and the biggest issue was cleaning up campsites after smokers left their cigarette butts all over the ground!
