I have a 2019 28 rls. I have had to replace the springs once already. I just had the bearings repacked and they pointed out my springs are all jacked up and I have no idea how or why this would happen?

The left spring in the picture looks very flat compared to the right one. Straightening out like that will increase its length and push the equalizer.

It looks like it's jammed under the U bracket which could cause it to flatten. It would be higher up otherwise wouldn't it?

X2 on this

If you lift the trailer by the frame and take the weight off of the axles you should be able to pry the end out from under the bracket but be careful. it is under a lot of tension right now and the front axle is going to drop once it comes loose.

I did look at those photos and it looks like one leaf set is super flat and the other super curved, each being forced into that extreme shape, by something jammed.

I have a spectator's question.

The U brackets; I see some installs with the brackets on top and some hanging down -the 'U' is seen pointing up or down.. Is there a specific way for each individual trailer or a preference by any one installer as to the orientation of the U bolt??

The u bolt orientation, threads up or down, is going to be detetmined by the axle being located above or below the springs. Given everything else being equal (yea right), putting the axle above or below is one way of setting frame ride height. My 264bh has the axle above the spring for a lower ride height. The baja edition has the axle below the springs for a higher frame height.

Ooookay. I get it. I hear some owners saying they 'flipped their axles. This is what they've done, to raise or lower the trailer height?
