I have a 2019 28 rls. I have had to replace the springs once already. I just had the bearings repacked and they pointed out my springs are all jacked up and I have no idea how or why this would happen?
The left spring in the picture looks very flat compared to the right one. Straightening out like that will increase its length and push the equalizer.
It looks like it's jammed under the U bracket which could cause it to flatten. It would be higher up otherwise wouldn't it?

The u bolt orientation, threads up or down, is going to be determined by the axle being located above or below the springs. Given everything else being equal (yea right), putting the axle above or below is one way of setting frame ride height. My 264bh has the axle above the spring for a lower ride height. The baja edition has the axle below the springs for a higher frame height.
